Pre-class interactive videos (21%): To prepare for class, you are asked to watch a short interactive video. While watching this video on Moodle, it will pause occasionally and ask you to answer a quiz question. These questions should be completed individually but you can answer as many times as you want until you get it correct. You should be able to get 100% on all of these. These are due by 9:00am on the due date and they will open up immediately after the previous class. There will be 10 quizzes and your three lowest scores are dropped.
Review quizzes (12%): These Moodle quizzes will occur at the end of several of our topic units to help you review material. There are five and you get to drop one. They are due by 9:00am on the due date and will open immediately after the previous class.
Research study participation (1%): To earn this component of your grade, you must participate in a research study or complete an alternative assignment. See the syllabus and Moodle for instructions on how to earn these points.
Exams (66%): There will be three exams in this course. Details on exam format will be provided prior to the first exam. These exams will cover information presented in class AND in the assigned videos and readings. All exam dates are indicated on the course calendar. The first midterm is worth 15%, the second midterm is worth 21% and the final exam is worth 30% of your mark. There are no make-up exams for any reason. If you miss a midterm, the grade weighting will shift to your final exam.
